Goodluck Gosbert Burning Mercedes has ignited a heated debate on matters of faith and spirituality. Gospel singer Goodluck Gosbert incinerated a Mercedes-Benz, capturing the entire episode on his social media page. He provided preliminary reasons for his incendiary actions, sparking widespread discussions about faith and personal struggles.
The Mercedes-Benz was given to him by an Arusha based preacher called Nabii Mkuu GeoDave. The Chief Prophet had also given the singer cash to buy petrol and to clear outstanding expenses attached to owning that fancy guzzler.
According to the celebrated gospel singer, Goodluck, after receiving the gifts from a well known preacher he began seeing his musical fortunes dwindling.
He termed those fortunes as his star diminishing in public eye. He also promised to furnish us with more vivid details if and only if His
Maker directs him to! It was unclear whether the tidbits he had divulged to us.This article captures the spiritual debate and lace its own insights in these complex matters of faith.
Goodluck established himself as a gospel singer after releasing big hits like “Hauwezi Kushindana” “Amen”, “Nimesamehe” among a couple of a dozen of his lifetime collections.
He is a celebrity in his own right, and demands no introduction, at all.
When Chief Prophet or Nabii Mkuu GeoDave invited Goodluck to his church “Ngurumo ya Upako” situated in Kisongo, Arusha outskirts was a big occasion.
Some skeptics thought Nabii Mkuu was angling to widen the appeal of his own ministry by cloistering himself with top gospel singers.
But, Nabii Mkuu is known for his philanthropic activities and has pulled many out of poverty vicious cycles making the Goodluck issue just an extension of what he was doing.
Even Muslims have been beneficiaries of his generous heart.
Goodluck on his part profusely thanked Nabii Mkuu while his song “Hauwezi kushindana” was being played in the background.
The church faithful were ecstatic and clapping their hands while shouting to the roof of their mouths. The faithful saw God working His will before their very astonished eyes.
The occasion culminated with Nabii Mkuu handing over the keys of the sleek Mercedes-Benz that he said he hardly used.
The Mercedes-Benz was barely used with its few mileage confirming it all. Goodluck was excited, admitting he never expected in a million years one day he would be owning such a fancy machine.
Nabii Mkuu had also given Goodluck Tshs 2,000, 000/= as a small change to clear fuel and other related expenses that would allow Goodluck to drive the car to Dar-es-Salaam from Arusha.
That was in 2019 or so, and time flies like nobody business. Before we knew it, Goodluck was standing on the Mercedes-Benz pouring what looked like petrol. The car doors including the bonnet and the boot were flung open. He poured petrol everywhere before setting the vehicle alight.
He said since receiving this flashy gift everything he touched had turned into ashes. He said he would elaborate further if God directed him to.
No sooner than the video was made public, the passionate debate that ensued did not disappoint.
Two sides quickly took time to explore their spiritual theories. One side was supportive of Goodluck with the other side castigating him.
Those who supported him accused Nabii Mkuu for practising witchcraft but didn’t provide any evidence to stiffen their case.
Antagonists led by Nabii Mkuu sidekick who introduced himself as “Baba wa kiroho wa Goodluck“ aka as Apostle Sam made no secret he was part and parcel of the “Ngurumo ya Upako” church.
In all ways, he was an interested party whose views were expected to be skewed against Goddard. He too didn’t disappoint. He lived up to the hype.
Apostle Sam in the Instagram claimed Goodluck was grappling with ancient spirits from his home. Since 2017, Goodluck was calling him day and night complaining that evil spirits were tormenting him.
Apostle Sam said he used to pray for him, and he was the one who led him to Nabii Mkuu GeoDave.
Apostle Sam did not explain why his prayers were not heard in heaven as Goodluck is still accosted by the same demonic attacks?
Apostle Sam had also claimed Goodluck is not new for razing his own stuff. He alleged Goodluck had even burned his underwear on grounds that the pants were torturing him. I could not independently verify these allegations.
What is now coming out is that both sides are accusing each other being under satanic influences, and in the heat of the moment it is not easy to know who is telling the truth.
Apostle Sam, however, made a demand that showed why Goodluck presuming he was demon possessed could not be exorcised by Apostle Sam.
Apostle Sam demanded Tshs 3,600, 000/= to exorcise Goodluck of demonic possessions.
This is where the rails come off. He didn’t explain what stopped to do cleanse him before he had taken him to Nabii Mkuu.
A referral to Nabii Mkuu was a concession of failing to restore sanity in Goodluck.
The scripture is abundantly clear that spiritual works were endowed freely, and freely must be given to bless others.
Commercialization of the miracles of God or ministering is strictly forbidden.
That neutralizes Apostle Sam’s argument that Goodluck is demon possessed.
Apostle Sam cannot be the true prophet because he loves the wages of sin amore than the promises of everlasting life.
I know my findings are correct because he has violated the commandment of God stated in the Gospel of Mathew 10:8. That is well emphasised in the letter of Peter the Apostle: 2 Peter 2: 15-16.
Nabii Mkuu GeoDave is yet to respond to the accusations levelled by Goodluck, and it will be premature to analyze his input in this matter.
What I know ministries have been embroiled in claims and counterclaims of being under satanic influences. Gospel singers too have been facing similar accusations.
Unless substantive evidence is provided one will be wise not to draw up meaningful conclusions out of them.
Goodluck who is not mighty in scripture can be excused for failing to differentiate carnal battles from spiritual wars.
Paul the Apostle who wrote the lion’s share of the Book of Acts in chapter 6 of the letters to the Ephesians said we have to differentiate the two.
We are not fighting flesh and blood but against spiritual forces, kingdoms of darkness, and principalities in heavenly places.
What is demonic haunted is never lifeless things like fancy cars.
Satanic forces possess human bodies that breathe and are masterpieces. Goodluck condemned a vehicle that had nothing to do with his spiritual challenges.
The spiritual war is being fought inside his heart and mind, but not elsewhere.
Burning a car is not a game changer but preserving the status quo.
This is why when he burnt his underwear he was still being stalked and tormented by the same demonic forces.
The battle is inside his own flesh.
If Goodluck for any reason believed the car was demon possessed he should have returned to the owner. He can only burn a car or property that belongs to him.
Henceforth, if by accepting a car from those practicing dark arts is an issue then to free himself from that was to return the car.
Once you burn it you are burning your own car, and the contract is still intact.
Moreover, he was given Tshs 2, 000, 000/= to defray initial expenses of owning up a fancy car. Why has he not returned or he ought to burn the money too?
Nurning the fiat is a felony since you hold in trusy not yours in a real sense of ownership. Do You burn what you don’t want and
keep what you like? It doesn’t work like that. He needs to return both the car and the cash. Without doing that the contract he had signed, if any, remains undisturbed.
The car he had burnt was his not of Nabii Mkuu GeoDave.
That car was his, and his alone. He needs to fork out in hos pocket and buy another Mercedes-Benz to be returned to iys truthful owner: Nabii Mkuu. That spiritual differentiation ought to be taken in one stride.
Once you destroy property given by another person that property is yours and if you want to severe the relationship between the two.
You must return all the property given to you to the donor amd you van claim your freedom.
Failure to return the sceptres of diabolical covenant the spiritual shackles will continue holding you back until you forsake them the right way.
At a time I was finallizing this article, Goodluck was being interviewed by WEPESI TV where he shared a candid revelation of why he went quiet for sometime. Deep down in his troubles appears to be very carnal indeed.
It is about having a manager without a contract for many years, and the manager threatening him if he ever crossed him.
Looks like the Mercedes-Benz is innocent after all. He is linking issues which do not bear common insignia so to speak.
Goodluck has said he has began to see things like being surrounded with dogs. He said: “Kuna watu wanasema ukiendesha hiyo gari kuna watu wanataka kukuua. Wanataka msiba wake…..”
He dissociated Nabii Mkuu with this murderous plot. What I see is what is said in the Book of Deutoronomy 28: 28, 34 which say as follows:
“The Lord will strike you with madness and blindness and confusion of heart……… So you shall be driven mad because of the sight which your eyes see.”
